What's the worst thing your country does/did?

This is more a test of how much you actually know your countries history, and how honest you can be.

Or in retrospect - how blindly nationalist and ignorant one is.

For the US - it's probably our treatment of the natives (like many other countries)

Though someone could also counter that the 'cat' was out of the bag as soon as the Spanish arrived and smallpox would've naturally spread across the continent killing nearly as many....

I would say it was our attitude and intentions that made it evil.

There is not a country in world history that does not have multiple murders , slavery and other atrocities in it's existence from Afganistan to Zimbabwe .

Human history is HUMAN history , no place is sacred or held by the original peoples otherwise we would still have Homo Habilis and Homo Neanderthalensis tribes around.

Oh and diseases like smallpox killed off aprox 90% of the native populations in North America so it was not nearly as many but the vast majority.

Ugh, my country (Mexico) has done thousands of bad things.

Since Mexico has chosen one of it's worst presidents, who is Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, (best known as AMLO in our country), Mexico is in a very bad crisis. Not only AMLO, im talking about all Mexico's presidents, Like Enrique Peña nieto, who is very known as the worst president of Mexico. There's also a very bad problem in Mexico, the Cartels. The cartels are a very large group of organized crime that is dedicated to trafficking drugs (such as cocaine, heroin, among others), planning robberies or attacks against the government. the most known cartels on Mexico are: " The Sinaloa cartel", "Jalisco new generation cartel", " the gulf cartel", "Los Zetas", among others...

The thing I want to say is that Mexico is full of bad things, and good things. Every country has its bad things and the good ones.

Mexico is a wild country, I love it - and I definitely feel for the current issues...

It is definitely frustrating to be in a position where so many of the causes seem like they're out of ones control. A lot of people blame the US - and that is part of the truth, but the entire way Mexico came to be ... well much like a lot of former Spanish colonies, was already fraught with potential conflicts.

That said, Mexican people are awesome, and a lot warmer than most people in the US!
