There use to have a classement a long time ago on lichess which indicated your classement like "you are 17 000th over 102 740 players". I think it would be a good think for people to reintroduce that kind of classement. It would help us to be aware of our own progression and to get ourselves short or long terms objectives.
I guess that the number of players currently playing on lichess and the number of rating (with all kind of games and variation) could make this quiete hard to achieve. But there could be some solutions like refreshing the classement only once a day or not having an accurate classement but only forks.
What do you guys think about this idea?
