More and more cheaters?!?

Each day now I find at least 5-10 new cheaters without any effort, without even trying to find them.
Well I report some of them, but actually it feels like some sysyphus task, but somehow it seems they grow exponentially since a while.
There must be a better way to prevent them already in the beginning.
The crux seems to be the complete freedom of permanently creating new accounts?
Only play with people who have "X" may games. Problem solved.
There is no such formula in game offers.
It would be fine if it was though...(and add certain ping limits too
if we are already talking about the formulas)
There is an oft-quoted, facile argument against more control when signing-up: one can easily create a new email account.

My opinion is different: I believe that annoying cheaters and making life hard for them takes away their pleasure.

At the moment, cheaters are flagged up but nothing much seems to be done about them.

I would like to see the following:

1) Email sign-up
2) The scores and graphs of cheaters removed
3) When one hovers over a cheating player's name, the word "CHEAT" or similar comes up
4) Cheaters only allowed to play casual games
5) Cheats not allowed to post in the forum. Essentially, they would be shunned totally
6) Multiple simultaneous accounts to be banned - IP tracking
7) Cheats who try to open a new account prevented - IP tracking

This would take some effort... but it might prove worthwhile long term.
nautilusomega, you've made one report in the past week.

Description:
"Cheat - same procedure as always"

Amount of games you've played against this person:
Zero

*thumbs up* Surprised to say that there's no evidence for him cheating. This doesn't really back up your claim.

Scarlet, if there was a way to limit one player to one account, man I'd be all over that. Needless to say, chess.com has email sign ups and it clearly hasn't stopped anyone from cheating. They're just too ubiquitously easy to create.

If you want to keep cheaters out you put up a pay wall, perhaps something like a $20 one-time payment. If you get caught cheating you forfeit the $20, and the credit card/paypal account the money came from is blacklisted. But obviously this is never going to happen.

As for your other points, IP banning does exist, and we do know how many accounts exist on any given IP. For instance, nautilusomega has 3 accounts, one of which has been marked as a troll.
