Font changed?

Has the font just changed or only just seeing it in my browser?
the font that i am seeing is "Lucida Sans Unicode"

if there's a way to go back to the old font..please do let me know.

Fonts are one of the biggest privacy threads online. They are used to track users all over the internet. Lichess forces your browser to fetch remote fonts from google, so the privacy giant gets an information about you visiting this site. Then google sells that information without your consent.
I recommend to block all font requests by means of addons like uBlock Origin. Just stay on your native fonts, everything looks OK.

No the font is different than what i saw previously on lichess.org two days ago. is there anyway to get back to the original way it used to look?

Good point about Google tracking people with their fonts. Not to mention this site uses Google Analytics, which seems like a privacy concern. And for all those who use Google Chrome, I'm sure they've got a pretty big database on your history already.

i have installed ublock origin...and voila! the old font is back...

Of course, google and other big corporations are tracking you in internet all the day, using their fonts. Google sells your personal data, like what sites did you visit. And then they make more money on advertising.

To be safer on Lichess or any other site you better blockk all google shit. If you are using Firefox then install Privacy Badger add-on and block manually all tracking scripts on lichess:

Site will be working better without google fonts, and you will not be tracked by google.
