ooh i knew that felt familiar :p out of these "creative" rule interpretation chess problems (which were actually legal by the rules at some point in time, but the rules have been "patched" by now), my favorite is this one by far http://www.futilitycloset.com/2009/12/11/outside-the-box/
In CrazyHouse you could MateIn1 if you had a Knight to put in c6 :)
