feedback on your report?

I read that you get feedback about which actions have been taken, when you report someone (seems to be a new feature) and also that you can get rating points back, for example when it turns out that you lost to a cheater.
In a blitz game my opponent called me a cheater after about 10 not very good opening moves. I decided not to play on but to report him. There was no feedback and no rating points back.
What are your experiences? Do you get feedback on your reports? Do you get points back?
Wow, so no one ever got a feedback, good to know. Thank you for your interest.
I lost to a cheater today and I got my rating points back.
You only get feedback if the player you reported, got marked. If you didn't get a feedback message, it either means that your report got dismissed (i.e. the mods' evaluation is: not cheating), or that your report is still in the queue.
Thank you for your answers! But Cheating is just one example for a report. I reported my opponent because he offended me by calling me a cheater after a few normal moves. I would like to know which actions they take in such cases. Obviously they don't mark people as idiots. So you never know if they did something at all.
They don't mark people as idiots, but they can give them chat ban.
@MajorBlunder
And how do we know? This is what I thought the feedback is for.
Also not nice I lost 36 rating points for refusing to play on with an idiot and he won a lot of points. I don't care about the rating, but it's just not correct.
My brother (@V2chess) and I played plenty of games against each other, and I think we played the same thing over and over, but we both got falsely marked as cheaters. We weren't. My brother reported me and said I was NOT a cheater in the details, and he got feedback. Now, as you can see, we are not marked anymore. Thanks to the AMAZINGLY AWESOME moderators.
