Park OTB Chess Sets

The dimensions of a chess set goes with the space available to play.

There are giant park sets that draw in players, but some feel the pieces are unwieldy. They don't always pick up the pieces. They drag or push them off the chessboard. So something under the pieces needs to be added to protect them from damage.

I have not found a clock that is proportional to those sets either. How about a small lamp post for the evenings. Something that holds a large clock or some form of count down signal like a street crosswalk signal. Buttons could be used to reset and start the timer. A bench with a lamp post near the four corners of the chessboard would be useful. Two players and two spectators sitting on the benches. Access to the clock could be reached from any lamp post.

Maybe others have better ideas to light up the chess sets and set a pace to the game. Often others are waiting to play. That's why I would use a timer.
