2 factor authentification

I'm getting messages from Lichess every week that my account has a particular responsibility such as Team Captain, Coach, Teacher or Streamer and therefore I should activate the 2 factor authentification.
Yes, I use such things for ebanking, but I really don't want to use an authenticator every time I want to play a game of chess. My account is just personal without any further responsibility. Does anyone know why Lichess is so insistent for 2 factor authentification for what should just be a game and a nice pastime?
The main reason is that your account has a certain power that can affect other people, or also because of who you hold in your account.
You could be targeted by someone who wants to get into your account without your permission, and bring data to your account or to people you are involved with.
It doesn't seem like anything happens when you keep ignoring these messages ...
Mmh - I do use 2-factor authentification, and I rarely need an authenticator. I keep logged in between sessions, and lichess each time automatically recognizes my account.
All I had to do, was allowing the browser to keep cookies from lichess.

Because people (including titled players) manages to give away the login credentials (reusing compromised passwords from other sites, phishing or easy to guess etc.) . With all the chess teaching and prize event's that does take place on Lichess, we can't really pretend that it's "just a game". Plenty of reputation/careers/money might be influenced by a actions done on a Lichess account. I would not be surprised if it becomes mandatory at some point in the future.

As #5 said, you very seldom need it. So much less of a hassle then online banking for example.

Note that carrys a big risk as they cant steal your session key if they get access to the device you signed in on. 2fa suppose to make it they have to comprise your password and the device with the 2fa by staying signed in you return it to 1 point of weakness

It would be nice if they included that in the description, because that says nothing about being titled. "Team Captain, Coach, Teacher or Streamer". Is there a way to get rid of the title associated with my account??
