I already mentioned points 6 and 7 below. Points 1, 2 and 3 are ignored or given low priority in too many countries.

>1. Integrated urban planning: Cities should adopt integrated urban planning strategies that prioritize public transportation, pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, and mixed-use development to reduce reliance on individual car ownership and encourage sustainable modes of transportation.
>2. Expansion of public transit: Governments should invest in expanding and improving public transit systems, including bus rapid transit networks, light rail, and subway systems, to provide affordable and accessible alternatives to private vehicles.
>3. Incentives for active transportation: Implementing incentives such as bike-sharing programs, dedicated bike lanes, and pedestrian-friendly streets can promote active transportation methods like cycling and walking, reducing traffic congestion and carbon emissions.
>4, Electrification of fleets: Beyond passenger vehicles, electrifying commercial fleets, such as buses, delivery trucks, and taxis, can significantly reduce emissions and improve air quality in urban areas.
>5. Renewable sources of energy: To ensure that efforts are actually green and contribute to net zero, the energy used in transportation, including charging, should come from clean and renewable sources.
>6, Smart grid technologies: Investing in innovative grid technologies and energy storage solutions can enhance the stability and reliability of the electrical grid, accommodating the increased demand for electricity from EV charging stations while maximizing the integration of renewable energy sources.
>7. Circular economy for EV batteries: We need to develop a circular economy model for EV batteries, including standardized recycling processes and reuse in energy storage systems, to minimize waste and resource depletion while maximizing the lifespan and efficiency of battery technologies.
Return to sailing ships! That's the ticket! Big huge sailing container ships, with sails the size of a small county!

And stop with all this fixed-wing nonsense! Just make everybody fly in balloons! But beware of filling them with hydrogen around matches!

Instead, just discover a new and "sustainable" source of helium. Like nuclear fusion!

Indeed, fusion is the answer to EVERYTHING. Is it here yet?

Unfortunately, no. So we need to just stop all this flying nonsense. And no more cows! Why eat methane-producing cows when locusts are about to be so plentiful!

Until fusion comes along, but only after first determining, if possible, whether locusts may be safely eaten and sustainably farmed, I'm going to live in an unheated pup tent, snacking on locusts and honey (obtained from sustainably caught bees), and snarl at every airplane that I see!

It's the least I can do for the planet. That, and urge Amazon to deliver using bicycles.

Amazon delivers? Now there's an idea...
Yes, @HerkyHawkeye , it is a fine idea, indeed! Too bad I didn't come up with it. I could afford to live in a splendid mansion instead of a pup tent. And to fly a private jet to climate conferences, in order to express my deep concerns!

Incidentally, if Amazon delivers via an independent contractor, I still think of it as an "Amazon delivery" when it arrives at my tent. Perhaps my thoughts lack necessary nuance.
Does the breeze blow through your pup tent? Just wondering because of your name...
@HerkyHawkeye , that was an astoundingly astute question.

I've been wondering for a few years now just why I picked that particular moniker. Suddenly, you've made it clear to me.
I didn't wake up this morning expecting to encounter epiphany. It was a pleasant surprise!

Thank you.
Let's add to the Mountain of Big Data and the scrap pile of old computers or the last model of smartphone that isn't trendy anymore and pretend we care.
