Loading engine error

I am writing to report a bug I encountered while using the analyze mode. Specifically, I am having trouble loading the chess engine. When I try to use the analyze mode, I receive an error message that says "Error Loading Engine". I have tried restarting my browser and computer, but the issue persists.

I am using the latest version of Edge on Windows 11. I have also tried using other browsers, but the problem remains. I would appreciate any help in resolving this issue.

I am experiencing the same bug when solving puzzles. After the puzzle is completed, stockfish pops up with “error loading engine” (safari on iOS, stockfish 16 NNUE 7mb). In pages that use stockfish cloud model, the engine works as expected.

Yeah, I've encountered the same problem too. I was trying to analyze one of my games.

Same for me with Firefox and Edge.

Same for me with Firefox with engine SF 16, after a few moves, not right away.

Same here, Firefox 115.4.0esr. Unlike yesterday's reports, trying different engine types (all four) or tweaking the threads and memory settings (up to 8 threads and 256 MB) does not help.

BtW, out of curiosity, what is the relation between the 7MB / 40MB in engine type and the "memory" setting below (16-256 MB)?

Update: the problem now seems to have been solved.
